ESI Registration

ESI (Employees' State Insurance) registration in India is a mandatory social security scheme for businesses with 10 or more employees (or 20 in some states) earning up to ₹21,000 per month. It provides medical, maternity, and disability benefits. Employers must apply online within 15 days of the Act becoming applicable.Eligibility & Applicability

• Business Types: Factories, shops, hotels, restaurants, educational/medical institutions, and cinemas.
• Employee Threshold: 10 or more workers (threshold varies to 20+ in certain states).
• Wage Limit: Employees earning a monthly gross wage up to ₹21,000 are covered (₹25,000 for persons with disabilities).

• Employer's Share: 3.25% of the total monthly gross wages.
• Employee's Share: 0.75% of the total monthly gross wages.
• Total: 4% (paid monthly by the 15th of the following month).

• Business Registration: Certificate of Incorporation, Partnership Deed, or Shops & Establishments / Factories Act license.
• Address Proof: Utility bills (electricity/telephone) or rental agreement.
• Tax Details: PAN Card of the establishment, GST Certificate.
• Banking: Cancelled cheque of the company's bank account.
• Employee Data: Complete list of employees, their salary details, and individual PAN cards

1. Visit the Portal: Go to the official ESIC Portal and click on the "Employer Login" section.
2. Sign Up: Create a new employer account by providing your name, company details, email, and mobile number. Login credentials will be sent to you.
3. Fill Form 01: Log in and fill out the Employer Registration Form-1 with detailed business and employee information.
4. Upload Documents: Attach the required scanned documents.
5. Generate Code: After submission and verification by officials, you will receive a 17-digit unique Employer Code Number.
6. Employee Registration: Register your eligible employees individually on the portal to generate their Insurance (Pehchan) Numbers
